Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ

Today (like every day) we owe gratitude to our veterans. Although Veterans Day is the one day each year that is dedicated across the country to honoring veterans, I hope that every day we can think about the sacrifice that veterans make to each of us through their service. I will start by thanking the Department of Military and Veteran Services (DMVS) director, Colonel Jackie Morton, for her service as a veteran. The DMVS on the Troth Yeddha' campus and Northern Military Services at CTC are great first stops if you would like to thank a veteran today (like every day)! Whether on the Troth Yeddha' campus, at CTC, in Dillingham, Nome, Kotzebue, Bethel, Fort Yukon, Tok, Juneau, Kodiak or anywhere else you work for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ, please join me in thanking a vet today.

Although it is not called Veterans, Active Duty Service Members and Military Dependents Day, I think it is appropriate to be thankful for the whole team. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ thrives through our great partnerships with Fort Wainwright, Eielson Air Force Base and the Army ROTC program led on campus by its new commander, Lieutenant Colonel Virginia Supanick. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ will have a special Veterans Day commemoration at 4 pm this coming Thursday (11/14) at Arctic Java. I hope that we will see you there.

To our veterans, my thanks today and every day.
