We continue to follow university guidelines and policies on face coverings and physical distancing.

If you travel outside of the state of Alaska for spring break, you will be required to have a negative test and practice strict social distancing for five days or to quarantine for 10 days before you return to in-person work or class. There are limited exceptions for people who were previously infected with COVID-19 and those who are fully vaccinated. Please be sure to review the requirements on .

The UA system sent a message about the changes yesterday, but the bottom line is that university employees are considered essential workers and are eligible to receive a vaccine.
