Week鈥檚 events: Bishop McCormick, diagnostic imaging, drones, marimba music

University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here is what鈥檚 happening during the week of  July 10-16:

  • On Monday, July 11, the Tall Timbers interview series will feature a conversation with Bishop Otis McCormick, a longtime Fairbanks community service leader. Veteran journalist Robert Hannon will lead the discussion, which will be at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater, located on the fourth floor of 香港六合彩官网资料鈥檚 Engineering Learning and Innovation Facility.
  • On Tuesday, July 12, the Healthy Living lecture series will feature diagnostic radiologists Dr. Kier Fowler and Dr. Jordan Ross discussing 鈥淭he Evolution of Diagnostic Imaging in Fairbanks and What鈥檚 Around the Corner,鈥 at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Wednesday, July 13, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Cathy Cahill, director of 香港六合彩官网资料鈥檚 Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration, on 鈥淔lying to the Future: Drones in Alaska,鈥 at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Thursday, July 14, the Music in the Garden concert series will host the Serevende marimba ensemble at 7 p.m. at 香港六合彩官网资料鈥檚 Georgeson Botanical Garden.
