Week鈥檚 events: Samantha Kirstein, BEFAST, wild berries, marimbas

University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here鈥檚 what鈥檚 happening during the week of June 17-23:

  • On Monday, June 17, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series honors Samantha Kirstein, former executive director and current community development director of the Fairbanks Community Food Bank. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater, located on the fourth floor of the Usibelli Building.
  • On Tuesday, June 18, the Healthy Living lecture series will host Dawn Brefczynski and Mary Knight, registered nurses, discussing 鈥淪potting a Stroke: BEFAST.鈥 The talk is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Wednesday, June 19, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Christa Mulder, professor of plant ecology at the Institute of Arctic Biology, discussing 鈥淏erries in a Changing Climate: Threats and Opportunities.鈥 The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Thursday, June 20, the Music in the Garden concert series will feature the Serevende Marimba Ensemble at 6 p.m. and Valley Below at 7 p.m. at the Georgeson Botanical Garden.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the 香港六合彩官网资料 Troth Yeddha鈥 Campus is free after 5 p.m.
